Manok Cohen
Beginnings

Apr 27 – Aug 31, 2025
Lobby and The Rooftop

Healdsburg sculptor and mixed media artist Manok Cohen brings her stunning, multi-dimensional work and vivid perspectives to Harmon Guest House’s lobby and The Rooftop restaurant. The French-Vietnamese creative, who grew up in France, was drawn to Sonoma County’s raw beauty almost 30 years ago as a painter.
Over time, her artistry evolved through influence and inspiration from renowned wire sculptor, the late Ruth Asawa of San Francisco. Working in wire, cable ties, and paint, Manok creates thought-provoking pieces filled with color, organic forms, and endless interpretation. At The Rooftop, both wall paintings and sculptural forms floating in space greet guests – an assemblage of woven elements born from brilliantly hued cable ties. Additional sculptures will be featured in the hotel lobby, a striking prelude to tease the larger installation above.
